JOHN MARSHALL ROBERTS IGNITES INSPIRATION IN WASHINGTON

Los Angeles, CA – October 5, 2010 – Author John Marshall Roberts invited by The White House Council on Environmental Quality to speak at the Greengov Symposium’s, Igniting Inspiration: Communication and Organizational Culture, www.whitehouse.gov/greengov/symposium. The symposium will bring together leaders from both governmental and the private sector to discuss greening the government. The panel was named after Roberts book “Igniting Inspiration: A Persuasion Manual for Visionaries”.  The event is taking place at the George Washington University, Soggy Bottom Campus on Oct 6th at 1:45 – 3:15pm.

Roberts will be speaking at the Lisner Auditorium, a premiere venue that is the largest auditorium for the GreenGov conference, and one of the few panels to be live streamed via the internet: http://planetforward.org/home/greengov/.  "I'm deeply honored to have been invited by the White House to participate in this event. The federal goverment must show great leadership in the area of sustainability for this movement to  reach critical mass in the US--and president Obama's new executive order is a huge step in the right direction.” Founder of the innovative new communication paradigm called Worldview Design ™ Roberts added, “This is just a beginning. To make this huge initiative work will require an educated and passionate group of grassroots sustainability leaders who really care, and who can somehow overcome cynicism of those who don't share their passion.”

Roberts is an author, speaker and applied social scientist with more then a decade of strategic communications consulting experience. A former psychology professor at the University of South Florida Roberts has consulted with EcoAlign helping North American utility companies improve public understanding of and participation in utility sponsored environmental programs. He also developed a series of strategic messaging campaigns to position the EcoAlign to compete in the sustainability space. Other recent clients include the Oscar winning BRC Imagination Arts, Moxie, Plunkett of New Zealand Sustainable Life Media, LOHAS, Copia Green, Eco Tuesday and The New Zealand Department of Conservation.
